Coaching is a partnership between the client and the coach. Each partner brings unique aspects to the relationship: the client has the skills, talents, life experiences and abilities to make her distinctive mark in the world, but may or may not know how to tap into these wonderful parts of herself. The client may (or may not) have identified his goals and is (or is not) clear about the steps needed to take to achieve those goals. The professional career coach brings expertise to the partnership, assisting the client as a guide as he or she establishes goals that are consistent with his or her values and motivators, identifying and embracing that special essence he or she embodies and can offer to the world. The coach’s job is to act as a conduit for the client, asking critical questions that lead the client to their heart’s desire, clarifying values, needs and desires and then (as the client directs), create top-quality job-seeking documents that are essential in assisting the client to secure that "perfect" position.
